Oh babies. I’m in full-on mush mode right now as I’m starting to look at nursery design, tiny onesies, and reviewing Jude’s baby book.
This week was further proof that when it comes to all things pregnancy, we don’t have as much control as we think. A dear friend of mine is an ultrasound tech and offered to do an early scan so we could check out the gender ahead of my OB-scheduled anatomy ultrasound. I jumped at the chance. So Wednesday morning we showed up bright and early. And wouldn’t you know it, the little stinker refused to cooperate. Sigh. KIDS THESE DAYS. I’m thinking this kid is going to keep us on our toes.
All kidding aside, I really am thrilled at any excuse to spy on this little one. I’m starting to feel flutters and I’ve even got a tiny little bump happening (ahem, MUCH earlier than with Jude, too). But once we get the gender determined, everything starts to feel more real. And then I can really get cranking on nursery design and picking up a few things for baby.
BOY:
Land of Nod Crib // Wren & Rumor blanket // Hanna Anderssen pilot’s cap // Freshly Picked neon moccs
GIRL:
Pottery Barn Kids Hadley crib // Giggle stripe crib sheet // Boco Baby custom bloomers (I DIE) // Freshly Picked gold moccs
So far, this pregnancy has been so radically different from Jude’s that I’m feeling like this baby is a girl. What do you think? If you’ve had kids, were you right in guessing the gender of your baby? Or were your gut feelings off?
