Today is Jude’s sixth birthday(!) and we celebrated in high style this past weekend with his first-ever party with friends.
I love to throw a fun party, but this was a bit of an obscure theme, I must say. He’s in love with the game on my iPhone, and requested that it not be just an angry birds party, but a Star Wars Angry Birds party. Of course. He told me that I lost points for not making the angry birds on his invitation into actual Star Wars birds. I said “potato, potahtoh.”
How awesome are these Angry Birds pumpkin kits that I picked up at Target? I thought these were hilarious. And luckily enough, the rabid squirrels held off on feasting on our pumpkins.
Jude also specifically requested that it be a “boys only” party. NO GIRLS ALLOWED (except Mommy). So what do you do with 10+ boys for 2 hours?
You get them a bounce house.
I don’t know why we aren’t in the bounce house business. It seems lucrative.
The birthday boy, in his fabulous Angry Birds Star Wars felt mask.
In one more reason I I adore the internet, I printed off ABSW coloring pages, which turned out to be a huge hit.
Cute felt ball garland that I might keep up all year long.
I got flavored popcorn from local favorite The Popcorn Fharmacy and put them inside cupcake liners. Chevron flatware via Sofie’s Big Day.
And while this is a terrible picture, I love the paper garland I picked up from JCPenney.

Oh boy – the excitement of opening presents!
And a very excited birthday boy blowing out his candle.
And, because I know you’re all wondering about them, here are the detainees puppies. They enjoyed the party too. hehe
