Mishmash Vol. XIXXXV

Family

Well, I’m finally getting into my routine here for summer. So far, Jude has attended his very first Vacation Bible School, been swimming umpteen times, and has eaten 18,203 of those sugar water popsicles in a plastic bag. You know the ones. Don’t act like you don’t.

Meanwhile, I’ve been indulging my artistic side, and trying to get back to the basics. I’ve been sketching and doing watercolors in my free time, and now Jude’s old enough to do art projects too. So I’m feeling good about keeping us from watching too much TV in the middle of the day, you know?

Remember those watercolor-inspired saturated paintings I did a few weeks back?  I finally got some frames for them and hung them in the kitchen. I’m so pleased with how they turned out. But OMG can I just tell you how crazy hard it was to get those photos all lined up perfectly? I swear my head nearly exploded.

And also there might be 32 holes in the wall.

When we’re not at home, we’re swimming. Which is fine by me.

Finally a little bit of work is being accomplished. I’ve got several awesome projects in the work, including a fantastic new wholesale client here in the OKC metro. I’m awaiting my new ikat iPad cases that should arrive any day (squeal!) and I launched some new designs over in the shop. May I present some new lovelies?

Here’s the new lovely tribal dot; she’s replacing our traditional polka dot.

And here is delightful Portofino – one of my new faves.

Finally, I might be most excited about Amalfi. I can’t wait for you to see the lucite trays in this one!
