More fashion week fun! This time from Milan for the spring/summer 2014 presentation by Prada who always puts together a colorful and interesting collection. This one is all about the details.

Listen, I don’t know if you knew this or not, but I’m totally obsessed with rhinestones. Back at my first job after college, I worked as an in-house designer for a tiny fashion company, and I basically got paid to play with laying out patterns in Swarovski rhinestones and crystals all the livelong day. So I always keep an eye out for Prada and Miu Miu’s runway presentations because they consistently use Swarovski fancy stones (that’s what they’re actually called – fancy!) in the most creative ways. And the spring runways did not disappoint. These just make my little color-and-rhinestone-lovin’ heart happy!  These are actually the same stones that I used when I shot my gemstone print canvases. (That being said, Prada definitely gets some unusual colors that I’ve never seen available anywhere else. Perks of the job, I suppose!)
