Beauty For Fall

Style

Hip hip hooray for fall weather! And with fall comes a few shifts in my beauty routine.  When it gets over 95 degrees here, I have zero desire to do anything much more than slather on the sunscreen and apply some mascara. But being the girly girl that I am, I love makeup and beauty products, so fall means I get to have a little bit more fun.

The biggest difference for my skin is moisture. Being the colon-less wonder that I am, I’m especially prone to dehydration and I start to notice the effects in my skin almost immediately. So I work extra hard at drinking loads of water and keeping my skin super moisturized. As far as color goes, fall is also a great time to polish up your look a little bit. With bold eye color, keep lips simple, and vice versa.

1. Nars velvet lip pencil

2. Fresh Sugar Lip Balm in Honey – my newest favorite. It is the perfect nude lipcolor and is ridiculously moisturizing.

3. Laura Mercier baked eye color in Black Karat – can be used wet or dry and is ridiculously glamorous.

4. Essie “Good as Gold” – for the showstopping manicure.

5. Moroccan Oil – the ultimate hair moisturizer. If my hair could drink it, I’m pretty sure it would.

6. Mane Message ombre hair ties – stunning colorways.
7. Number 4 Comb Prep & Protect detangling spray – Remember No More Tangles when you were a kid? I got a bottle of this in a Birchbox package and I couldn’t get enough. If you have easily tangled hair, you will love & adore this product.
8. Bobbi Brown hydrating face cream (also amazing with SPF)  – slather this stuff on, baby! Your skin will be oh-so happy.
9. Ayate exfoliating washcloth – With all this moisturizing going on, I also appreciate a good exfoliating. Not nearly as rough as a loofah, it gets slightly softer with time. Gentle enough for your face, too. You’ll never buy exfoliant again.
10. VMV Hypoallergenics Re-Everything Lotion – another Birchbox find. It actually exfoliates your skin as you slather it on. Don’t ask me how. But I love it. Apply it when your skin is still wet from the shower for maximum moisture impact.

with love,
Rachel
