Vespa!

I have a serious Vespa fantasy.

I love them. They’re so glamorous, so colorful. And I married into a motorcycle (and I’ll go ahead and lump scooters in with this)-lovin’ family. So I’m thinking the odds are good that there could be one in my future (pleeeeeaaaaaase?) But that doesn’t exactly mean I’m mega amped for my kid to get on one anytime soon. But, like his Papa Keith, Jude has inherited the love of all things motorized, especially motorcycles and scooters.

So wouldn’t this just be the most perfect little rocking horse scooter for me him?

Oh no, now don’t go makin’ me miss my scooter! I sold her last year. She was a beaut. Like your first photo, she was a Buddy scooter — dark orange with brown seat and handlegrips, brown wicker basket on the front, brown saddlebags on the bag, and custom pin-up girl (tasteful, of course) on the front. I love her when I had her, but being a mom, I rarely got to ride her. At least I know her new owner is really enjoying her as I’ve seen them around town (and even parked in front of Anthropologie when I came out of work one day!).

Bummer that you had to get rid of it! :( We had the opportunity to buy one at a good deal when I was preg with Jude, but it just didn’t make sense at the time. I didn’t exactly see myself getting a lot of awesome rides in while 9 months pregnant. :) I kick myself now that we didn’t go ahead and do it.
