The glorious Monique L’Huillier

Seeing Catherine Zeta-Jones at last night’s Golden Globes reminded me of why I love Monique L’Huillier, dress-draper extraordinaire. I pinned a bunch of photos from her pre-fall 2011 collection, and each one of these make me wish I could be Cinderella at the ball. Gorgeous jewel tones and delicious draping of heavenly fabrics.

Glory! Glory! Indeed. So beautiful! While I didn’t necessarily love the texture of CZJ’s dress the cut and color is amazing. I love the navy and white dress, along with the purple that is very similar? (seen here at the bottom http://www.fashion-dress.net/maxi/monique-lhuillier-pre-fall-2011-maxi-dresses/).

And the strong one shoulder styles {swoon}! I need to find a ball to go to before that goes back out of style!

Agreed – the texture as a little bit Scarlett O’Hara for me, but oh man. I’ll bet it weighs 100 pounds too.
