You’re going to laugh when I tell you that until last Thursday, I had never in my life shucked (is that the right word?) corn. That’s right. I had never completely peeled off all of the outer layers of foliage and cornsilks from yummy corn on the cob. Until Thursday. So imagine my horror when I started peeling the first one, and found the lovely anomaly pictured above. I don’t know why I had such a visceral reaction to it, but it really grossed me out. I could barely touch it. I know, I’m a huge weenie!
I even saved it for Simon to see when he got home from work. How weird am I?
