Man. Things are REALLY different than they were! Here’s a photo (above) of how the studio looked before. A complete mess, nothing really organized. It was just a thorn in my side. Plus, I’ve always had this fantasy of having a beautiful, organized office. Form and function — it’s my mantra!
And this is the final product! I am SO thrilled with how it turned out. And the only things that I’ve bought are the curtains (a fantastic sale at Pottery Barn), curtain rod ($20 at Target), and the paint. Everything else was something I already had, and repurposed or rearranged to fit the space.
I am, quite possibly, most proud of the closet, though. I was able to fit all my ugly ol’ equipment (with the exception of the Mac — it’s not ugly) into the closet where I can just shut the doors and not have to look at the junk! Plus, it also keeps baby Jude away from all the cords, which he just looooves to yank on.
The only missing piece of the puzzle is my filing cabinet that will hopefully be arriving tomorrow.
Here’s my random collection of found typography. My goal is to eventually have the entire alphabet! For now, I’ll stick w/ q-r-s-t…
